Day 1. Welcome in Romania!
You will meet our agency representative at Bucharest International Airport. There he will hand you the keys of the car we have rented for you and all the travel documents and advices you need for a safe and pleasant journey in Romania. Enjoy the rest of the day discovering Bucharest! In the evening we recommend you to taste a traditional Romanian dinner at "Caru cu bere" restaurant. Overnight at Athenee Palace Hotel 5*.
Days 2. Explore Bucharest!
After breakfast you can start exploring on your own the wonders of Bucharest! Do not miss: the Palace of Parliament - built in the 1980s during the reign of Communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu. Currently the largest building in Europe and the second-largest in the world, the Palace houses of the Romanian Parliament, as well as the National Museum of Contemporary Art; the Romanian Athenaeum - built in 1888, is Bucharest's most prestigious concert hall and one of the most beautiful buildings in the city; the Village Museum is an open-air ethnographic museum showcasing traditional Romanian village lifestyle. Walk on the narrow cobblestone streets of Bucharest Old Town and stop for lunch and a good Romanian wine at one of the many terraces here. In the evening we recommend you to taste a delicious dinner at "Lacrimi si Sfinti" restaurant. Overnight at Athenee Palace Hotel 5*.
Optional: Walking guided tour of Bucharest (about 4 hours walk) - Stavropoleos Church - Manuc's Inn - Palace of the Parliament - Old City Center - Romanian Athenaeum - Revolution Square - Uniri Square.
Day 3 - 5. Discover the Danube Delta!
You will spend 3 days in the heaven of unspoiled nature. Danube Delta is the second largest river delta in Europe, after the Volga delta, and it is the best preserved on the continent. The Danube Delta is Europe's newest land and one of the most impressive areas in Europe. The reserve is vast, with numerous freshwater Lakes interconnected by narrow channels featuring huge expanses of aquatic vegetation. This is the largest continuous marshland in Europe.
You will have free time for fishing, take a fast boat to reach the Black Sea, enjoy the sun and relax but save 3 hours for
the optional trip we propose you on the Danube cannels. Your trip starts at the hotel and continues to the Turkish Brook up to Lake Melea to see the bird colonies there. Overnights at Delta Nature Resort 5*.
Day 6. Bucharest
Breakfast and departure to Bucharest. You will meet again our agency representative at the airport.
